Goals Discussion of the construction principles of extremity orthoses, application principles on the patient, biomechanical adjustment principles and revisions.
Course Content It includes basic principles and approaches in the production of orthoses needed for patients with orthotic indications, the selection and modification of materials to be used in their construction, their application to the patient, recommendations and patient follow-up.
Learning Outcomes 1) Learns and can apply orthosis impression taking, model processing, selection of construction materials, lamination / deep drawing processes, biomechanical adjustments and finishing processes in prosthesis.
2) When revision of the orthosis is required, it evaluates the patient's complaint and solves the problem related to the orthosis.
3) Can plan and develop research, generate hypotheses and report and present research on orthosis construction, biomechanics and rehabilitation.
