Goals Informing teacher candidates regarding the concept of combined classrooms, importance of combined classrooms, reasons of having combined classrooms, nature of teaching curriculum in combined classrooms, classroom management in combined classrooms, planning and evaluating teaching and learning processes in combined classrooms.
Course Content In class activities will be managed and monitored by the course instructor under the instructor’s guide. Interactive teaching methods will be used for allowing students to actively participate into activities and the learning process. Students are required to read the main course book and additional resources shared by the instructor.
Learning Outcomes 1) Prepares daily schedule specific for Multiple Grade Classrooms.
2) H/S knows the general features of multiple grade classrooms and takes these features into account in classroom and out-of-class educational arrangements.
3) H/S takes into account the individual differences and development levels of students in the planning, implementation and evaluation of students' self-study in multigrade classes.
4) Designs specific learning situations for students to learn at their own strength and at their own pace.
5) Designs specific learning situations for students to learn at their own strength and at their own pace.
6) Follows the developments in the field, evaluates the research results related to the multiple grade classrooms.
7) Teacher candidate develops school-environment relations based on the principle of cooperation.
