Goals oal of the course is to teach pre-service teacher how to use information and communication technologies (ICT) at a basic level and make them knowledgeable about developments in ICT.
Course Content Concepts related to computational thinking and problem solving; information technology concepts; computer systems; basic concepts of software and hardware; information technologies and their use in daily life; communication and collaboration technologies; safe internet use; IT ethics, copyrights and laws; basics of operating systems, current operating systems; file management; utilities (third party software); word processing programs; calculation/table/graph programs; presentation programs; database management systems.
Learning Outcomes 1) Explain the concepts of computational thinking and information technologies.
2) Express the basic concepts about software and hardware verbally and in writing.
3) Formats a text by using word processing software.
