Goals .“Turkish Educational System and School Management” is a course aimed at recognition of candidate teachers’ understanding the education system as an organizational structure and understanding the management process of the education system. In the context of “Turkish Educational System and School Management”, the objectives of Turkish educational system and basic principles, the legal basis of the educational system, the structure of the educational system, management theories and management processes, the features of the school organization, the managemet of curriculum, student affairs, personnel affairs, support services and budget affairs, the supervision of education, school environment relationships, ethics in education are studied to have candidate teachers’ to understand different aspects of Turkish educational system and school management and to have knowledge about them.
Course Content .The content of the course consists of the legal basis of Turkish educational system, the organization of it, school management, the supervision of education, school environment relationships, ethics in education, protocol in administration and career management in education
Learning Outcomes 1) Explain the basic concepts related to education (education, training, right to education, equal opportunity, compulsory education, free education).
2) Knows the concept and approach of the system, recognizes the elements of the system, analyzes the Turkish education system with a system approach.
3) historically the education system in Turkey and have knowledge about social development.
4) Explain the general and specific aims of the Turkish national education system.
5) Evaluates the national and international education legislation related to education and the norm value / hierarchy of the texts constituting education legislation.
6) Recognize the administrative structure of the Turkish national education system and the school system with its various types and levels.
7) It makes a general comparison about the education systems of different countries in the world and makes inferences for the development of the Turkish education system.

9) Analyze the management theories and control approaches and make critical evaluations about the application of these theories and approaches in the education system and school.
10) Makes critical evaluations about the effects of different types and approaches of financing on the education system and social functions of education.
11) As a social institution, it interprets the relations between the school and its environment and offers suggestions for the development of relations.
