Goals The aim of this course is explore historical and sociological perspective of the phenomenon of state-society and politics in the context of basic concepts of political science.
Course Content Definitions, concepts and approaches of politics and Political Science, * The relationship between political science and other social sciences (Sociology, psychology, Anthropology, law, economics) * Historical processes that influenced the development of Political Science (French Revolution, Industrial Revolution, the American Civil War and the Declaration of independence) * The state, the Constitution and democracy definitions, concepts, types and formats *Political forces, political parties, pressure and interest groups, public opinion *individual, society and the state *Ideology and political ideologies
Learning Outcomes 1) Recognizes the limits of political science as a discipline, and understand the relationship between other social science disciplines.

4) Gain knowledge. power relations, ideological forms and institutions in modern societies
