Goals This course aims to provide the students with knowledge and skills related to the theoretical and practical aspects of Medieval History.
Course Content The fall of Rome, Christianity, The Migration of Tribes, The Byzantine Empire, the church in the east, The Rise of Islam; Muhammad's Vision, Islam Becomes an Empire, The Great Dynasties of China, The medieval Indian Empire, The Islamic Invasion; Islam in Spain and Africa, the Viking Invasion, the greatest king: Charlemagne, the battle of Hastings, The Age of Crusades, the wars of the roses,The Mongols Devastate the East; Genghis Kan, Marco Polo goes to China, Saladin of Jerusalem, El Cid and the "reconquest of Spain",Richard the Lionhearted, Magna Carta, The End of the World; the plague, a new way of living.
