Goals This course aims to provide the students with knowledge and skills related to the theoretical and practical aspects of pre-islamic turkish history.
Course Content Early History of the Steppes, The Scythians, Origins of the Hsiung-nu, The migration of the Yüeeh-chih, Victories of the Huns, Conflicts Between the Huns and China, The Kingdom of Tabgatch Turks, The Ephthalite Huns, The Huns in Europ: Atilla, Gokturk Empire, The Uigur Turkic Empire, The Khitan, Avars, Bulgars, Magyars, Khazars, Petchenegs, Kipchaks, Oghusz, Turgeshes, The Jenghız-Khanite Mongols.
