Goals Educate individuals can know physical geography of Turkey and basic concepts, in terms of physical geography evaluating Turkey and conditions-potential, problems arising from the physical geography of Turkey, who have knowledge about the causes and consequences, and to educate individuals grasp the opportunities afforded by the physical geography conditions.
Course Content The location and position of Turkey; landforms in Turkey; Turkey's climate, soil, hydrography, plant geography and animal geography; environmental issues in Turkey; disasters in Turkey; climate change.
Learning Outcomes 1) It interprets the geological features of Turkey and their effects and consequences.
2) It explains the geomorphological characteristics of Turkey, its main forms, their formation conditions and distribution and its effects and consequences.
3) It interprets Turkey's hydrographic characteristics, mainly streams, lakes and seas and their effects and consequences.
4) It evaluates the climatic characteristics of Turkey and their effects and consequences.
5) It evaluates the importance of protection with Turkey's existence and their characteristics and distribution.
6) It evaluates the importance of protection-extension of Turkey's plants and their distribution and characteristics.
7) Natural animal communities and species in Turkey can explain the importance of protection with their characteristics and distribution.
