Admission Requirements

The acceptance conditions of the proposed graduate program with thesis will be based on the Higher Education Regulation of Ankara University as follows:
• Candidates (candidates of Turkish nationality who graduated from undergraduate programs in foreign countries) must have a bachelor's degree (the equivalency certificate that they will receive from the Higher Education Council) from any of the departments of Energy Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Geological Enginering, Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering, Physics Engineering, and undergraduate CGPA (Cumulative grade point average) must be at least 2.00 out of 4.0 or an equivalent score out of 100.
• Candidates must have a numerical score of at least 70 (or equivalent GRE score determined by YOK) for ALES; Foreign language (English) score must be at least 65 (or equivalent TOEFL score) from YDS or YÖKDİL.
• ALES numerical score (or equivalent GRE score determined by YOK) is required for foreign applicants who have completed their undergraduate studies in Turkey. Foreign nationals who have completed their undergraduate education in foreign countries are exempted from ALES.
• Applications for the Master's program (with thesis) are made to the relevant Institute directorates within the period specified in the academic calendar.
