6 PY1 Gaining the competence to learn the phonetic, morphological, and syntactic features of the written variants of Turkish dialects, to increase interest in special topics, and to create a corpus related to each specific topic, and to analyze them considering the theories, approaches, and methods of linguistics.
7 PY2 Recognizing the importance of compiling and recording all types of speech variants of contemporary Turkish language, and gaining the competence to use and examine the theories, approaches, and methods of dialectology and corpus linguistics.
8 PY3 Gaining the competence to examine the vocabulary of contemporary Turkish language according to the methods and approaches of lexicology and semantics.
9 PY4 Learning the historical stages of the Turkish language, understanding its branching processes, recognizing the corpuses representing its written stages, and gaining the competence to examine contemporary variants at all levels historically and comparatively.
10 PY5 Gaining the competence to examine the written and all types of speech variants of contemporary Turkish language according to the theories, approaches, and methods of sociolinguistics.
11 PY6 Learning the socio-cultural structure of Turkish culture and the institutions that constitute this structure synchronically and diachronically, and gaining the competence to evaluate social changes by learning the methods and approaches to examine them.
12 PY7 Gaining the competence to learn the political and social changes in the early modern Turkish world, the political and social movements and ideas that triggered these changes, such as Turkish Jadidism, their representatives, and their intellectual activities, and to critically analyze the publications of the resulting milieus in their original form.
13 PY8 Recognizing the establishment, discourse, and dynamics of Western and Russian orientalism.
14 PY9 Focusing on the genres of written literary products in the field of Turkish language, learning the influential literary movements and their representatives, gaining the competence to analyze written literary texts through textual criticism methods, and researching written literary genres both within themselves and in comparison with those of other language communities using comparative literature methods.
15 PY10 Focusing on the genres of related oral literary products in the field, evaluating the performed oral literary genres using modern research methods and approaches, and gaining the competence to compare them both within the Turkish language field and with the oral literary products of other language communities.
16 PY11 To learn the genetic and contact linguistic relationships of Turkish with languages such as Mongolian-Tungusic and Finno-Ugric-Samoyedic, and to gain the competence to examine the linguistic outcomes of these genetic and contact linguistic relationships using the methods of the field.
17 PY12 Knowing the research history of Turkology and the studies conducted, gaining the competence to effectively use a foreign language at a level to follow international literature related to the field, and developing research proposals based on the literature reviewed at national and international levels.
18 PY13 Gaining the competence to identify a topic from the developed proposals by acquiring high-level thinking skills (critical thinking, problem-solving, creative thinking, decision-making, reflection), preparing it in a report form by adhering to scientific ethical rules, and discussing and presenting it.
