Goals The explanation of Artemia biology and morphology, the environmental conditions, the cyst characteristics, the factor affecting hatching conditions,feeding and enrichment, decapsulation, culture tanks, larvae features and usage in aquaculture, biochemical value and culture techniques.
Course Content Morphology and biology of Artemia, cyst morphology and physiology, cyst harvest, decapsulation, harvesting and processing of cysts, Artemia production methods in tanks and ponds, biochemical composition, enrichment
Learning Outcomes 1) a new scientific method can be developed or applied in aquaculture, fishery, processing and basic science.
2) Analyzis can be made in the light of knowledge in aquaculture, so solutions can be produced for the problems in aquaculture.
3) In the respect of water quality management, health, environment, basic science and aquaculture, by establishing cause effect relationship can be discussed.
